HIE Higher Institute of English
BILC (Bureau for International Language Coordination) is an organ of NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) concerned with language standards and competencies among the NATO countries and countries that partner with NATO.
Col. Petko Petkov (Secretary) and Ms. Julie Dubeau M.A. (Associated Secretary) paid a visit to HIE on Thursday 13 September. HIE had earlier this year taken initial steps to implement STANAG 6001 as the framework for teaching, learning and assessment for Military English courses offered at the Institute. BILC, as custodians of STANAG 6001, were able to advise on developing and enhancing our inputs. After presentations and discussions, the guests were entertained to lunch. The tow parties resolved to work closely to build the relationship with the prospect of a follow-up visit and seminar early next year
