HIE Higher Institute of English
This year saw our first stream of students graduate from HIE. After 3 years of hard work and dedication, our graduates can proudly state they have a degree in International Communication Studies. And it did not take long for the international airport management company Afroport to realise that our students were exactly the kind of employees they were looking for. With their high level in English, and their exposure to important soft skills such as critical thinking, decision making and teamwork, HIE students are a good fit for any international company hoping to succeed in Mauritania.
14 out of 20 HIE graduates looking for work have been recruited by Afroport so far. They have been placed in a number of departments at Oumtounsy International Airport including customer services, cargo and VIP services. We at HIE are extremely proud of our students for securing jobs so quickly having just completed their course in June 2019.
