HIE Higher Institute of English
Last year was the first year of HIE’s internship programme. Our 3rd year students studying a degree programme in International Communication Studies participated in the internship programme. A number of private and public centre companies collaborated with us and offered our students work experience such as Maurilog, APM Terminals, The British Embassy, Central Bank of Mauritania, Kinross and TLC School.
This year our new 3rd years are about to endeavour on the internship preparation programme where they will identify their career aspirations, create their CVS and be trained in job interview skills. HIE students have a lot to offer any company in terms of skills and abilities not only with their superior level in English, they also study French and Arabic for the workplace along with many other subjects such as digital literacy, business communication skills and specialist electives in marketing, human resources or supply chain management.
