Faldie Solomon was born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa, where he studied Islamic Studies and Arabic at the International Peace College of South Africa (IPSA). He is CELTA certified and has been teaching for more than twenty years.
He served as Co-Imam of the Kuils River community in Cape Town for five years prior to traveling to Mauritania, with his family, to further his Islamic studies. To date, he has studied various texts on Arabic and Adab with teachers from Ma’ta Molana and Mahdhara Tayseer.
Prior to joining HIE, he spent seven years at TLC-International school, in Nouakchott, Mauritania, where he taught Middle School Math, Science and PE. Before joining TLC in 2017, He taught Elementary and Middle School Social Studies, Science and Islamic Studies at United Academy in Nouakchott, while simultaneously teaching English at New Horizons Language Centre for about three years.
