Mohamed is an English instructor and the tutorial lead at the Higher Institute of English (HIE) in Nouakchott, Mauritania. He grew up in Nouakchott, and as a student at Nouakchott University, he earned an Associate Degree in English Literature in 2009. Mohamed later travelled to the United States as a Fulbright scholar. In 2013 he completed his BA in TESOL and Communication at Goshen College, Indiana. Two years later, he was awarded an MA in International Studies (African Studies) by Ohio University, Ohio. Mohamed has taught various subjects including English, Communication, and African Studies. He has worked as a graduate assistant at Ohio University and as an instructor at both Nouakchott University and the Lebanese International University in Nouakchott. Mohamed has also worked as an interpreter (Arabic-English). In May 2016, he crowned his teaching credentials with a Pass B in the CELTA (the Certificate of English Language Teaching to Adults) awarded by the Cambridge University ESOL examinations board.
