Moutali has been an instructor of English at the Higher Institute of English since June 2016. He got his Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics and Education (TEFL) with a minor in Communication Studies in 2008. He is currently completing his PhD in Linguistics at Mohamed V University, Rabat, Morocco.
Moutali has worked as the English Programme Coordinator at the Lebanese International University and has also taught at the University of Nouakchott, the University of Science, Technology and Medicine, Ibn Yacin University, and the ISCAE.
He has a wide range of experience in a variety of English courses including General English (Grammar and Vocabulary, Speaking and Listening Skills, and Composition); English for Specific Purposes (Business English, English for Science and Technology, and English for Academic Purposes); Study Skills, Communication Skills, Phonetics, Syntax, Applied Linguistics, Discourse Analysis, and Sociolinguistics. Moutali has worked as a reviewer for the International Journal of Language and Applied Linguistics (IJLAL) since 2015 and is also a freelance translator. He has worked for companies and organisations in Morocco, Iraq, the USA, and Mauritania where he has translated movies, documentaries, speeches, and reports.
Moutali was recently awarded the CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) by the Cambridge University ESOL examinations board.
