The Higher Institute of English proudly congratulates all the students who participated in the first session of the Public Speaking Club, held today at the institute. The event took place in the distinguished presence of Colonel Sidi Sid’Ahmed El Veirick, members of the teaching and administrative staff, and was coordinated by Dr. Taleb Bilal, Director of Studies.

The session focused on the thought-provoking theme, “English in Mauritania: To Which Future?” bringing together students and guests for an engaging discussion on the growing role of the English language in Mauritania’s educational, professional, and international landscape.
The institute also expresses its sincere appreciation to the representative of the American Embassy and to alumnus and diplomat Yahya Habed for their valued presence and continued support. Their contributions added depth and inspiration to the event, highlighting the importance of international cooperation and academic engagement.

Special recognition is extended to both military and civilian students whose active participation contributed greatly to the success of this inaugural session. Their enthusiasm and commitment reflect the spirit of dialogue, leadership, and academic excellence that the Public Speaking Club aims to promote.
