BCM – Getting closer to the customer

As one of our longest running In-Service clients, the Central Bank of Mauritania (BCM) has been sending their staff to HIE for English training for over two years now. For the first year, we provided classes after working hours from 18:00-20:00. At the end of 2017, and after conducting a student survey, the programme was radically reconfigured; HIE now has a teacher embedded at the Bank.

BCM has provided Rona MacKenzie, our HIE teacher, with a dedicated training room and office where she teachers 5 groups from Beginner to Advanced with student numbers approaching 60.

Phase 2 is set to put the HIE/BCM relationship on a sure footing and is a good example of optimizing programmes and managing change to the greater satisfaction of clients, students and staff.
