HIE Higher Institute of English
On the evening of Saturday 18th May, the Commandant and HIE management hosted an Iftar for staff, students and guests at the Institute. A beautiful tent was put up with all the furnishings for the event.
Our caterers Halima and Selina, along with Naziha, must have spent many hours preparing the snacks, meals and drinks that awaited us! As the sun went down, dates and other delicacies were passed round and guests quenched their thirst on water, tea and a variety of delicious juices. There followed a quiz written by Lillian and compered by Michael and, after prayer breaks, the sumptuous evening meal was served. A good time was had by all. Our thanks to the Commandant for laying on such top-class hospitality!
