Emerson Grossmith

Emerson Grossmith was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. Has had a varied career from professional photographer, working in the oil patch, switched to legal surveying and levelman on the Trans-Canada Highway in Banff National Park, and finally as a seasonal Lead hand for the National Parks of Canada in Banff, Yoho and Kootenay.
He returned to university to pursue a career as a Near and Middle Eastern archaeology. He has a BA and MA double major in Anthropology/Near Eastern Studies from the University of Toronto (1996). Worked as a Site Supervisor on many sites in Palestine, Syria, Jordan and Yemen. He also received a second MEd in TESOL from The College of New Jersey (2009).
Realized he needed a full-time job and pursued teaching ESL in South Korea in 1997. He longed to be back in the Middle East and for the next 20+ years worked as an ESL/ESP instructor in UAE, Yemen, Kuwait, KSA and then recently at a medical university in Qatar as a Writing Specialist.
