Oumou Diallo

My name is Oumou Diallo. I got my B.A from Nouakchott University in 2011 in English and linguistics.  Two years later, I got my MA from Gaston Berger University in Senegal. My research mainly focused on Sociolinguistics; precisely on language and gender (gender and academic discourse).  After my return to Mauritania, I got the chance to complete my second degree in Human Resources, which led me to work for MATTEL Telecommunication Company as a human resources clerk.

In 2016, I attended the University of Florida (FIU) in Miami for a Public Management course with several pairs from the African continent and other countries. This course enabled me to engage in civil society, the private sector and government representatives. The same year I was hired at the Higher Institute of Languages Translation and Interpretation (ISPLTI) to teach communication. I was quickly promoted to teach English language at ESP (Ecole Superieure Polytechnique) engineering school.

I am very glad that my academic and professional journey has brought me to the Higher Institute of English (HIE).
