Rona was born in Scotland and studied Fine Art at Heriot Watt University. She was a Support Worker for Young People in the voluntary sector in the UK for many years and gained her CELTA (with merit) in 2009 .She has been teaching English ever since. She has lived and worked in the UK, Australia, Spain and Saudi Arabia in private language academies, schools and universities . Rona has extensive experience of teaching ESP; including English for Medicine, EAP and Aviation English. She has presented many workshops as part of teacher training CPD programmes. She achieved her DELTA qualification in October 2019. In November 2020, she became a member of HIE’s Quality Assurance team.
