HIE Higher Institute of English
On 25 November 2016, the Minister of National Defense, Mr. Diallo Mamadou Bathia and the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Sidi Ould Salem, presided over the inauguration of the Higher Institute of English.
This was an opportunity for Captain Mohamed Mahmoud Ould El Hadramy, Commandant of the Institute, to present detailed explanations of this new academic institute to the Ministerial Delegation.
The two ministers, accompanied by their respective delegation, were given a tour of the Institute, where they were shown modern equipment and teaching techniques.
The two ministers also visited several classrooms and spoke with students about the importance of the Institute.
The inauguration ceremony was also attended by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the President of the University of Nouakchott Al ‘Asrya, the Director of Higher Education, several advisers from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the two commanders of the third and fourth offices of the General Staff of the Armed Forces as well as several guests.
