HIE Contributes to International Conference on Blended Learning

The first International Conference on Blended Learning was held in Nouakchott 19 and 20 May 2025. It was organized by Dr. Taleb Bilal Eli, conference chair and Head of the English Department at the University of Nouakchott. High-level government officials were also in attendance as well as invited staff and faculty from local and overseas universities not forgetting our very own graduates and undergraduates.

 

HIE contributions to this important event included:

Day 1 Mohamed Yarba Meissara, Academic Administrator, In-Service Department,  presented ‘Blended Learning: The Concept and the Reality’

Day 1 Dr. Shaimaa Ismail, Instructor, Degree Department, presented ‘Dyslexia: Learning Difference or Disability?’

Day 3 Bill Curry, Head of In-Service Department, presented ‘Distance Learning in the Mauritanian Context;  Challenges, Lessons Learned, and Opportunities’

Gerry McKeown gave support, advice and input.
