International Women’s Day

International Women’s Day, Friday 8th March 2019
The day was the epitome of collaboration between students and staff, led by Lemguebille and her Gang of Executors. It had fun, fitting tributes, frivolity and food.
The over-riding message of women’s place in society and achievements was heralded with fitting tributes from students.
The emblematic video of Malala Yusuf (voice over by Tekber) and brilliantly produced by Yahaya, served as a reminder of what young people can achieve, in particular young women.

The quiz on women’s achievements was conducted by quiz mistresses Mouna & Lemguebille who kept participants on their toes and in their places, whilst Bilghiss carefully recorded the scores. Team captains, Mark & Michael dispensed their duties with drama, controversy, humour and voice that kept the audience entertained.
The morning was rounded off with some high-calorie grub and drinks.
Thank you to the Commandant, Year 2 students, and staff for marking the day in such a unique fashion.
