Dr Shaimaa Ismail is a literacy expert who has been working in the field of foreign/second language teaching since 1995. She has a Bachelor Degree, a Post-Graduate Diploma, and Masters Courses from Alexandria University, Egypt, a PhD in Education from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand, and a DELTA and Train the Trainer Certificates from the University of Cambridge. She is also a certified soft-skills trainer by British Council Corporate. Furthermore, Dr. Ismail is a certified therapeutic dyslexia tutor by the Canadian Academy of Therapeutic Tutors (CATT). In addition to teaching, she was a certified Cambridge oral examiner for two consecutive years, she has worked in translation, interpretation, and educational management, and she has been a scientific board member of Dyslexia Association of Singapore since 2018. Throughout her career, she participated in a number of international projects, training programs and conferences and her research has contributed to some publications.
