Dr. Taleb Bilal Eli is an assistant professor of English and Cultural Studies with more than 14 years of teaching experience in Morocco, United Arab Emirates, and Mauritania. Currently, he is the director of studies at Higher Institute of English (HIE).
As a researcher, he is interested in English as a foreign language, education, literature, postcolonial studies, media and cultural studies. Dr. Taleb has many publications in his field of expertise with more than 350 google scholar citations. His most recent publication is entitled: The Impact of ICT Resources, Lecturer’s Competency, University Facilities, and Physical Environment on University Image: Mediating Role of Student Satisfaction; which was published in the Journal of Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (LTHE), which is a Q1 Scopus Indexed journal.
Additionally, Dr. Taleb has delivered many presentations in various international conferences in the UK, Germany, Italy, Turkeye, Senegal, Morocco, the UAE and Mauritania. His most recent conference was held in Bayreuth, Germany, under the theme: Arabic in Africa: Historical and Sociolinguistic Approach, with a paper entitled: Arabic Language and Non- Arab Minorities in Mauritania: A Historical Analysis of the Crisis of Arabization.
In terms of the professional exchange programs, Dr. Taleb is an IVLP alumnus. A prestigious exchange program initiated by the US department of State.
